Foxtel is often offered in these venues as it sets the mood in the establishment. These venues can sometimes be used for events and often broadcast PPV or Main Events.
4. Mining
Typically refers to a remote, self-contained industrial operation dedicated to extraction and processing of natural resources. These sites are often located far from major population centres.
4.1 Wet mess
Licensed on-site bar or social area within a remote accommodation facility, like a mining camp, where alcohol is served and consumed. Service is restricted to workers or residents staying on site.
Foxtel is made available in these areas mainly to support worker wellbeing, improve retention, and enhance operational performance in remote of FIFO (fly-in-fly-out) environments. Miners may also have their families staying with them in the mining camps. The mining sectors are situated in regional areas, so they tend to have their own on-site technicians. Commercial agents usually assist with box activations or upgrading packages.
5. Accommodation
Refers to any place where people stay temporarily, whether for work, travel, study, or other purposes. It could be for long or short term like hotels or serviced apartments.
One of the main purposes for having Foxtel in accommodation is to enhance guest experience. This allows hospitality establishments to differentiate the property from competitors by personalising the welcome message on the TV with the customer’s name, hotel name, and compendium.
6. Aged and Health Care
Establishments providing a range of services and to support people who require specialised care due to age-related physical or cognitive decline.
Foxtel is offered in these establishments to enhance wellbeing, comfort, and engagement by providing access to familiar and enjoyable entertainment. The cost of obtaining Foxtel service here is significantly lower than that of individual subscriptions.
7. Corporate
Business entities or organisations that engage in commercial, industrial or professional activities. They conduct business on a commercial scale.
Foxtel is used in corporate setting not only for entertainment but also for communication, marketing, and customer satisfaction. These may be placed in meeting rooms, common rooms, or waiting lounges of offices. Foxtel is also offered to active personnel on duty from military forces, which is the only sector that allows Foxtel access outside of Australia.
8. Small to Medium Enterprise (SME)
Companies with fewer than 200 employees. They play a crucial role in the country's economy – making up about 97% of all businesses nationwide. Common SMEs include, but are not limited to, cafes, boutiques, and hairdressers.
Foxtel is offered in these premises to enhances customer or employee experiences, creates a more engaging environment, and even supports their brand image. It could be made available to employees’ lounges or even to a common area viewed by their own customers.
Note: Monthly fees and rates for Pay-Per-Views (PPV) for Foxtel Commercial accounts may differ depending on different factors like where the content is shown, capacity of the building, or if alcohol is being served. Sales managers or sector heads identify these costs.
