1. Latest software updates for iQ boxes
1.1 Release 23
From 7 May 2026, release 23 software is being rolled out to iQ3, iQ4 and iQ5 boxes from Wednesday 26 March 2025. The release will enhance the ability to stream third party content and include a new educational screen for HBO Max, presented on box activation.
Release 23 codes:
- iQ3 satellite - 23.0.16.3
- iQ4 satellite/internet - 23.0.16.4
- iQ5 satellite/internet - 23.0.16.5
From 10 September 2025, release 22 will commence roll out to iQ3, iQ4 and iQ5 boxes. This software release will include updates to the existing Guided Set-Up, a new troubleshooting menu, a content carousel in the TV guide, On Demand watch next episode linked to third party apps, and an educational slides for new box activations.

Update to the Guided Set-Up:
Release 22 will update step 3 to prompt the customer to create a unique PIN. In addition, where a customer is unable to complete the activation process, a QR code will be presented on screen for online troubleshooting assistance.
New troubleshooting menu
Release 22 will introduce a dedicated troubleshooting menu, located under Setting. This new menu will group all the rest options in one place: Reboot Only, Rest to Guided Set-Up, Reset Network, Reset RCU, Reset Apps, Reset iQ Settings.
Content carousel in the TV guide:
This feature provides the ability to promote content by category and channel.
On Demand watch next episode linked to third-party apps:
This new feature will allow customers to continue watching a series that crosses over from Foxtel to a third party provider. Note: This will not appear for all content only support third party providers that have integrated their content catalogues into Foxtel's content discovery platform.
Customer Educational slides:
Educational slides will be presented to customers activating their box for the first time. These slides will include information on key iQ features, including On Demand, 4UHD, third party apps and voice search.
