Follow this procedure to create a Shell Account. These accounts are active accounts with no services in them.
Use of wildcard
Use the wildcard symbol (%) when there are multiple results of addresses, business names, or contact numbers, etc.
Verify the address is correct
Ensure the address is accurate and can be verified in Google.
Verify the Australian Business Number (ABN)
Australian Business Number, it is an 11-digit (no letters) unique identifier issued by the Australian Business Registrar (ABR) and used by businesses operating in Australia and can be verified through https://abr.business.gov.au/. This is one of the pieces of information needed to build the customer profile.
3. Tasks
- Under the Customer Center in Kenan select New Customer Acquisition Wizard.
- Fill out at least the following information for the business address. Then click Search:
- Street Number
- Street Name
- Postcode
- Unit Type – select COMMERCIAL SITE
Note: If the Unit Type is not specified, it will give a mix of residential and commercial addresses.
- Once the correct result shows up on the Address Panel, tick Serviceability, Billing, and Alternate.
- Click Close on the pop-up.
- Clicking on the address hyperlink will show you additional information about the address.
- Update all the following fields:
- Account Category: Foxtel - Business
- Market Code: Regular
- Campaign: Brand/TV/Press
- Sales Channel: Direct Marketing
- Industry Segment: (depending on the business type)
- Click Next to Available Services.
- Click Next to Product Delivery.
- Click Next to Account Information.
- On the Billing Name and Address, fill out the required details. If there are additional information provided by the customer, log them as well:
- Company Name
- ABN
- Day Phone
- Email Address
- Identifier Question (select anything)
- Identifier Answer (N/A)
- Click Next
- On the payment information page, update information if necessary. Then click Next for the Final Confirmation page
- If no payment was made, click OK from the pop-up, then Next again
- Click Finish.
Note: Make it a habit to check each section once the shell account is done.
