Infrared interference can sometimes stop the box from receiving the signal from the remote. Fingerprints, smudges, dust or grime can cause infrared interference.
- Check that the front of the box is clean. If there are fingerprints or smudges on it, wipe it down with a clean, dry cloth.
- Check the room for other sources of infrared interference, such as:
- lighting behind your TV
- energy saving light bulbs
- flickering fluorescent lights
- Ensure that your box is on (there should be a blue/green light on the front panel of the box) and test the remote by pressing any of the buttons.
