How do I make my WiFi network private?

Making your WiFi network private means that your WiFi network won't appear on the list of available networks when a device is trying to connect to WiFi. If you make your WiFi network private, anyone who wants to connect to your WiFi will need to know your wireless network name and password.

To make your WiFi network private on the Hub 2:

1. Open an internet browser on your device.
2. Go to routerlogin.net.
3. Enter your username and password in the required fields.
   Note: The default username and password for the Foxtel WiFi Modem are:

• Username: admin
• Password: password.
   

4. Click Log In.
5. On the Basic tab, click Wireless on the menu on the left-hand side.
6. Uncheck the Enable SSID Broadcast checkbox.
7. Click Apply. Your wireless network name will no longer show on lists of available networks.  

To make your WiFi network private on the Hub 3:

1. Open an internet browser on your device
2. Go to http://192.168.0.1.
3. Enter the access code (printed on a label on the bottom of your modem) where prompted.
4. Click Continue.
5. Select the WiFi tab.
6. Select the WiFi Home tab.
7. Change the SSID Status to Off.
8. Select Save, then select Continue.
   Note: Your WiFi connection may be disrupted momentarily.
9. Select the Primary Tab,
10. Select Radio Selection to 2.5 GHz Radio.
11. Select Broadcast SSID as Disable.
12. Select Save, then select Continue.
13. Navigate back to Primary and select Radio Selection to 5.0 GHz Radio.
14. Select Broadcast SSID as Disable.
15. Select Save, then select Continue.
